Brenna Devaney

Brenna DeVaney serves as the Chief Pro Bono Officer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates since 2002, where responsibilities have included roles such as Director of Pro Bono Programs and Pro Bono Counsel. Additionally, Brenna DeVaney is Co-President of the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance, which focuses on leveraging pro bono resources to promote systemic change and racial equity in the legal field. With academic roles as an adjunct professor at both the University of Michigan Law School and Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law since January 2018, Brenna DeVaney also contributes to various boards including the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, the ASSOCIATION OF THE BAR OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK FUND INC, and the New York City Bar Association. Prior experience includes serving as President of the Association of Pro Bono Counsel and a board member for the National Center for Access to Justice. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
