James Fredricks

James Fredricks is currently a Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, specializing in antitrust and competition law. Drawing on over two decades of experience at the U.S. Department of Justice, Fredricks served as chief of the Antitrust Division’s Washington Criminal II Section from 2018 to 2024, where they oversaw significant criminal prosecutions and compliance efforts across various industries. Fredricks played a pivotal role in major cartel cases and contributed to the development of the Antitrust Guidelines for International Enforcement and Cooperation. They also clerked for Chief Judge R. Lanier Anderson III at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and are currently pursuing a degree from Harvard Law School.
