Matthew Evans

Matthew Evans is a Litigation Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, having previously served as a Summer Associate at the same firm. Evans has a diverse background in legal advocacy, including experience as a Client Advocacy Fellow and Communications Director at The Office of the Appellate Defender, where comprehensive parole advocacy briefs were prepared for the New York State Board of Parole. Previous roles include developing a creative writing program for underprivileged minority communities with MALDEF, conducting civil rights policy research as a Policy Analyst and Law Clerk at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and interning with the U.S. House of Representatives and Los Angeles City Council. Evans holds a Doctor of Law degree from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Africana Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
