Ryan Robison

Ryan Robison has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ryan has held various roles in different organizations.

At their current position with Skill Demand as a Program Director, Ryan started in April 2023 and is responsible for overseeing a team focused on environmental justice work, connecting the BIPOC community with incentive programs and raising awareness about available initiatives.

Prior to that, from November 2022 to April 2023, Ryan worked as a Program Manager at Skill Demand. In this role, they managed a team of 10 individuals divided into two departments, overseeing environmental justice work and identifying incentive programs that reduce energy costs.

Before joining Skill Demand, Ryan worked at Cook Ross from July 2019 to June 2022 as an Inclusion & Diversity Project Consultant. Ryan advised and facilitated Fortune 500 clients on their Diversity, Equity & Inclusion journey, developed strategic roadmaps using Cook Ross training, and conducted interviews to provide recommendations on human resource policies.

Ryan also has experience as a Consultant at Self-Employed from September 2018 to June 2019, where they contributed to writing policies and resource guides, advised on strategic outreach efforts, and created data collection systems.

From February 2017 to October 2017, Ryan served as the Director of Statewide System of Support (IL-EMPOWER) at the Illinois State Board of Education. Ryan designed an outreach strategy, built stakeholder relationships, and created a strategic equity and data analysis plan.

Prior to that, Ryan worked at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from October 2010 to January 2017. Ryan served as the Senior Advisor/Chief Of Staff for Environmental Education, managing policies and grant programs, and as the Deputy Director of Scheduling, coordinating external briefings and ensuring meeting alignment.

Ryan's earlier experiences include roles such as Communications Manager at the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care, Legislative Intern at the Office of Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, Field Organizer at Obama for America, and Regional Field Organizer at the Human Rights Campaign.
