Bob Benoit

Bob wears many hats at SkillBuilders (and wears them well!) : Application Developer and Architect, Analyst, Network & Systems Administrator, Amazon Cloud Administrator and Development Oracle Database Administrator.

Bob has been with SkillBuilders since the mid-1990’s. He created the SkillBuilders website and SkillBuilders’ mission critical back-office internet applications.

Bob has 30+ years of IT experience developing business critical applications, including more than 20 years using Oracle. He has extensive experience in programming, internet architecture, systems administration and network administration. Bob’s industry exposure includes Web Security, Insurance, IT Training, Chemical Research and Nuclear Engineering.

Prior to coming on board with SkillBuilders, Bob worked with Atrion Networking in Warwick, RI, mVPN, also in Warwick and FMGlobal Insurance in Johnston, RI.

With a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, Bob is a self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Personally Bob loves living near the ocean, as a “blue-water sailor” with numerous offshore transits to Bermuda and the Caribbean. And Bob has actually discovered his artistic side as a glassblower.
