The Arts, Personal Services, Retail, Tourism and Hospitality industries are essential drivers for Australia’s economic and social development and wellbeing. As the Jobs and Skills Council for these sectors, SkillsEQuipped brings together business leaders, industry organisations, unions, government, and education and training providers to understand the challenges facing our representative industries and collaborate on innovative solutions which deliver positive outcomes for learners and employers.

Our key priorities as a Jobs and Skills Council are:
1.	Strengthening the role of industry in national training outcomes
2.	Ensuring vocational education meets employer and employee needs
3.	Leveraging cross-collaboration to drive skilling outcomes
4.	Broad stakeholder representation and diversity across Australia
5.	Training Product Development and Workforce Planning expertise
6.	Industry stewardship across strategic workforce issues

Taking a tripartite approach, our aim is to identify, forecast and respond to the current and emerging skills needs and workforce challenges of the unique but aligned industries, whilst building greater confidence in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system and providing industry with a stronger, more strategic voice in shaping the skills of the future.
