winta assefa

Winta Assefa is a Saudi-raised architect, visual artist, and writer currently based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. They are the Head of Communications for the Alliance for Building Communities and engage in various creative freelance projects, including illustration and graphic recording. Winta began their art career in 2013 with exhibitions in Jeddah's Shadda International Gallery and has since taught sand animation while also contributing to NGOs and clients like the Packard Foundation. They are a recipient of the Berkeley Prize and continue to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture at Addis Ababa University.
