Matthew Allan has a wide range of work experience. Matthew began their career in 2004 as a Supervisor and Receiving employee at McMaster-Carr. In 2006, they became a Field Staff at InnerChange, where they were involved in fundraising, community development, and business start up consulting. In 2013, they joined The Restoration Initiative for Culture and Community as Vice President of Finance & Social Enterprise, where they helped revenues grow over 600%. In 2020, they became the Lead Product Manager at HookM, and in 2022, they took on the role of Product Marketing Manager at Check, where they managed GTM strategy for paywalls and tiered subscription plans, resulting in a 320% increase in paid subscriptions. Matthew also created and led an organic social marketing strategy, resulting in a 160% increase in website traffic. Most recently, in 2023, they became a Product Manager at Skilltype.

Matthew Allan received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Development Economics and International Development from Hope International University between 2005 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Intercultural Studies from Biola University between 1999 and 2003.
