Wayne Chiu

Wayne Chiu possesses extensive expertise in clinical microbiology and health management, currently serving as a Clinical Advisor (Fractional) at Skinopathy since October 2025, where guidance is provided for the development of AI-based dermatologic tools. Previously, Wayne held the position of Clinical Laboratory Manager at Unity Health Toronto, overseeing multi-site microbiology operations from March 2023 to September 2025. Prior to that, Wayne was the Charge Technologist in Microbiology at Sinai Health System, coordinating operations in various areas including bacteriology and COVID-19 testing, from November 2020 to March 2023. Earlier experience includes a role as Lab Supervisor/Charge Technologist at William Osler Health System from May 2017 to November 2020. Wayne Chiu is further advancing professional qualifications through a Master of Health Management at DeGroote School of Business - McMaster University, expected to be completed in June 2025, along with educational backgrounds from The Michener Institute and University of Waterloo.
