The ŠKODA history

ŠKODA (from the Czech Republic) is one of the most tradition-rich automobile makers in the world –creating 
reliable cars with a high precision for more than 100 years.

After starting in 1895 with manufacturing bicycles and motorcycles from 1899, the Laurin 
& Klement Co. presented their first car in 1905. The firm was renamed ŠKODA in 1925 after 
a merger and many years later it becomes part of the Volkswagen Group in 1991.
