Anders Ågren

Anders Ågren is a seasoned political figure currently serving as the Kommunalråd/Vice Mayor at Umeå Kommun. With a strong background in education, they have previously held roles such as a high school teacher in Swedish and History, as well as a political secretary at Västerbottens läns landsting from 1999 to 2002. Anders has been actively involved in various democratic initiatives, serving as Vice Chairman and later Chairman of the Committee for Democratic Issues at Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner from 2019 to 2023. They also held the position of Vice Chairman of the Regional Committee at Region Västerbotten from 2011 to 2018 and have been the Chairman of Moderaterna in Västerbotten since 2006. Anders completed their education at Umeå University from 1994 to 1997.
