Michael Santesson

Michael Santesson is a highly experienced professional in finance and control, currently serving as a Controller at Sveriges Kommuner och Regioner since October 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Controller at Nacka kommun from January 2019 to October 2023 and at Karolinska Institutet in 2017-2018. Michael began as a Senior Management Consultant at Governo AB from 2016 to 2017, focusing on the public sector. Prior experience includes serving as a Chefscontroller at Tyresö kommun from 2010 to 2016, where Michael led a project for the implementation of decision support systems and managed the controller group. Michael's career commenced at Arla Foods as a Controller/Ekonom from 2002 to 2010. Michael holds a Civilekonom degree in business development and finance from the Stockholm School of Economics, in addition to studies at Hanken School of Economics and Stockholm University.
