Sky Blue Homes, LLC was founded by Barry Borden and Shelia Byers in February 2012. Both Barry and Shelia had enjoyed great success in top positions for $25 million+ communities in Virginia. In fact, they helped those communities achieve total sellout – even as the economy took its downturn in 2008.

With that accomplishment behind them, Barry and Shelia began considering new career opportunities and job offers but Shelia, known as an eternal optimist by anyone who’s met her, had a different vision. She wanted to go out on her own. She wanted Barry to partner with her to achieve the same success they had for various companies over their combined 50+ years of construction and real estate experience – but she wanted to do it their way.

What way is that? To be the kind of people you genuinely like and want to get to know. To team up with the best of the best in the industry so their clients get the best in return.  To love what they do so much that their passion is felt in every call, meeting and detail.

Now, more than five years later, Shelia and Barry have firmly established SkyBlue as the go-to for customers who value hard work, integrity and ingenuity.
