David Fields

David Fields is an accomplished hardware systems architect with extensive experience in the electronics and digital/pay TV markets. Since January 2013, David has served as the lead hardware design engineer for two generations of the UHD Sky Q gateway platform at Sky. Prior to this role, David was a senior hardware engineer at Farncombe, leading hardware design practice and providing consultancy services. David's career began at Pace PLC, where significant contributions were made as a principal hardware engineer and senior hardware engineer in the development of advanced set-top boxes. Earlier experience at Deritend Industries involved repairing industrial electronics. David holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull.
