Taylor Schmidt began their career in 2010 as an Intern for Baker Hughes, an oilfield service company, where they tested drill bits in a drilling simulator which simulated bottomhole conditions. In 2011, they returned to Baker Hughes for another Internship. From 2012 to 2013, Taylor held various positions, including Technician at Express Lube, Sales Associate at EXPRESS, and Learning Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, they were an Intern at General Motors. In 2015, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Cirrus Logic. In 2016, Taylor held three positions, including Software Engineer at SparkCognition, Software Engineer II at VMware, and Software Engineer II at SparkCognition. Finally, in 2019, they were promoted to Director of Engineering at SkyGrid, where they had previously been a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer III.
Taylor Schmidt attended John Cooper High School from 2008 to 2012 and graduated with a High School Diploma. Taylor then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2017 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
