Jacques Barras

Jacques Barras has extensive experience in the field of engineering and project management, currently serving as the Head of ATM Simulation Engineering at skyguide since August 2006, where management of a team focused on the development of simulation equipment for air traffic controller training and business development is undertaken. Prior to this role, Jacques held positions such as Project Manager and Team Leader at AUFIREX SA, overseeing project management, software development, and IT consulting from January 2001 to August 2006. At swisscontrol from October 1989 to December 2000, Jacques worked as a Project Engineer, maintaining and developing simulation equipment for air traffic controller training. Earlier experience includes serving as a System Engineer at J-P Bruderer SA and as a Junior Project Manager at Groupe e SA, focusing on R&D in alternative energy. Jacques completed a degree in Mechanics from Ecole d'Ingénieurs et Architectes Fribourg between 1981 and 1984, supplemented by training in HP and Oracle technologies.
