The future of medicine will have a large data-driven component. As a bioinformatician at SkylineDx, he tries to gain more insight into diseases by connecting large biological data sets to observed clinical outcomes. Knowing the disease via the patient by accurately measuring biological and clinical features is key. Although it will not be easy, he thinks this will eventually enable them to select the treatment that is most beneficial for a specific patient, leading to a better outlook and quality of life.
