Peng Tan

Peng Tan is a Principal Engineer at Skylo, specializing in network innovation and standards development for non-terrestrial networks and direct-to-device communications, with a strong focus on 3GPP standards. Previously, Peng served as a Senior Principal Researcher at OPPO, contributing to 3GPP standard development, and spent over 16 years at TELUS as a Principal Technology Architect, leading various 4G/5G wireless network design initiatives and advancing multicast IPTV systems. Early academic endeavors included doctoral research at the University of Alberta, culminating in a Ph.D. in Broadband Wireless Communications, and prior degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Wireless Communications from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Xi'an Jiaotong University, respectively, with over 20 publications in the field of digital wireless communications.
