Priya Venkat

Priya Venkat has over 18 years of work experience in the legal field. Priya began their career in 2002 as Senior Counsel, Business Affairs at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Priya then moved to King & Spalding in 2003 as an Attorney. In 2006, they became Chief Legal Counsel at GTL. From 2013 to 2018, they held the position of Director, Legal & Lead Counsel (North America) at Capgemini, followed by Deputy General Counsel at Ribbon Communications in 2018. In 2014, they began their role as General Counsel at Edgewater Networks and was also an Advisory Board Member at bitWise Academy. In 2019, they joined the International Intellectual Property Law Association as an Advisory Board Member. In 2021, they became General Counsel at Skylo Technologies and a Charter Member at TechGC.

Priya Venkat has a comprehensive education history. Priya obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, their Master of Laws (LL.M.) Honors from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law with a focus in Information Technology and Privacy Law, their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honors from the University of Colorado Boulder in Political Science and Philosophy, and their high school diploma from Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Additionally, they have two certifications: Management & Leadership from Dale Carnegie Digital obtained in September 2017, and Certified Black Duck Legal Specialist (M&A Open Source Software) from Black Duck Software obtained in September 2016.
