Lee Howell has extensive work experience in both the military and private sectors. In 2010, they began their career in the Royal Marines, completing training as a Royal Marine Commando. lee then served in various roles within the Royal Marines, including as a Reconnaissance Operator, Mountain Leader, and Logistics Coordinator. Howell also worked at CTCRM, where they specialized in promotional and specialist training. Additionally, they served as a team leader in reconnaissance operations for both 45 Commando RM and 30 Commando RM. In 2021, Howell took on the role of Mountain Leader - Training Management & Instructor before joining SKYLOTEC GmbH in 2023 as the Global Head of Training.

Lee Howell attended Weston College from 2008 to 2010, where they studied Geography, History, Psychology, and Biology in the field of Sixth Form Education. In addition to their formal education, Lee also obtained several certifications. These include the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Nebosh National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Rope Access technician Lvl 1 from IRATA International, Urban Tactical Rope Supervisor from Rescue 3 International, PPE Inspector from Helix Operations Limited, Rope Rescue Operator from Rescue 3 International, Advanced Remote Team Medic (Non-vocational healthcare provider) from the Defence Medical Academy, Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading from the Chartered Management Institute, Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management from the Chartered Management Institute, and Level 2 Diploma in Public Services (NVQ) from Ofqual.
