Stephen Koo has a long and varied career in finance, beginning in 1996 as Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at PRIMEDIA Consumer Media and Magazine Group. In 1999, they moved to Beenz as Vice President, where they were responsible for creating business plans and financial models. Stephen then moved to Credit Suisse in 2004, where they held the role of Vice President in the Technology, Media and Telecom Group, completing over $21B in M&A and over $15B in financing transactions during their tenure. In 2010, Stephen moved to Morgan Stanley as Vice President in the Media Communication Group, leading execution of ~$500mm in M&A and over $4B of financing transactions. In 2012, they joined Scientific Games as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, responsible for all corporate acquisition and divestiture activities. In 2015, Stephen was recruited by the CEO of Innova Gaming Group to help lead the company’s 2015 IPO on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and was later acquired by Pollard Banknote Limited in 2017. In 2019, they joined NEOGOV as Chief Financial Officer, helping to oversee the rapid scaling of the organization culminating in a significant growth capital investment from The Carlyle Group and existing investor Warburg Pincus. Stephen is currently Chief Financial Officer at Skyryse, where they are developing FlightOS, the world's first universal flight deck and operating system.
Stephen Koo received their MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in 2004. Prior to that, they earned their BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994.
