Jesse Allen

Jesse Allen has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Jesse started their career at Neumont University as an Academic Coach, where they helped students improve their writing skills. After that, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at AtTask, Inc., where they worked on various projects to enhance the functionality and quality of the AtTask product.

Jesse then joined CR England as a Software Developer Intern and later as a Software Developer Contractor. At CR England, they developed internal tools that improved productivity and reduced manual tasks. Jesse also successfully managed a Scrum-based development team and delivered a project that had fallen behind schedule.

Following their time at CR England, Jesse worked as a Web Application Developer at Americaneagle.com, primarily focusing on Sitecore CMS development. Jesse was involved in developing a new software developer onboarding process.

Jesse's next professional experience was at Cedaron Medical Inc, where they served as a Software Engineer and technical lead. Jesse played a key role in developing an in-house analytics platform with a proprietary expression language for complex reporting logic.

Currently, Jesse is working at SkySlope, where they have held multiple roles. Jesse started as a Software Engineer and contributed to various projects such as reskinning the main product and developing a new data entry flow. Jesse then progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer, where they became a founding member of the DevOps team and implemented infrastructure as code. Later, they took on the role of Staff Software Engineer, serving as the counterpart to the Director of Product Development and setting the overall product direction and strategy. Currently, Jesse holds the position of Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing a distributed team and leading projects to retain large customers, reduce operational costs, and improve release frequency.
