Brad Olson has a diverse work experience spanning across different roles and industries. Brad started their career as a Commodity Systems Developer and Trader in their own sole proprietorship, where they successfully developed and traded software for futures contracts and options. During this time, they worked with programming languages such as EasyLanguage, Pascal, LISP, and C.
In 2005, Brad joined the Reformed Church in America and the United Bible Societies as a Translation Programmer. Brad developed and managed web applications using Python, Rails, Node.js, and Angular. Brad also worked with diverse international teams during this period.
In 2013, Brad joined the American Bible Society as a Full Stack Programmer. Brad ported a Rails API to Node.js and gained experience with MongoDB and Angular.
From 2014 to 2018, Brad worked at Kindrid as a Lead API Engineer. Brad played a crucial role in the startup's explosive growth and subsequent acquisition. Brad worked with Go, Python, and MongoDb on Google Cloud Kubernetes.
Starting from 2018, Brad became a Co-founder and Software Lead at Suppose.llc, where they took on a leadership role and contributed to the company's software development.
Most recently, in 2020, Brad joined SkySpecs as a Senior Platforms Engineer. Brad continues to apply their expertise in software engineering to enhance the company's platforms.
Brad Olson attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa from 1982 to 1986. Brad obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature during this time. Later, from 1988 to 1992, they studied at Western Theological Seminary and completed a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree in Bible/Biblical Studies.
