Avery Walker

Avery Walker is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Senior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineering Lead at Skyways since June 2021, Avery has progressed from earlier roles as a Mechanical Engineer within the same company. Prior experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Materials Science Department's Additive Manufacturing Lab and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for a course on additive manufacturing and 3-D printing at the University of Virginia, where Avery earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science & Engineering. Additionally, Avery was a Baja SAE Team Member at Virginia Motorsports Education and gained internship experience with Northrop Grumman in Mission Systems. Educational background includes attendance at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies.
