Tom Hicks

Tom Hicks is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in strategic advisory and organizational resiliency. As the Founding Principal and Managing Director of The Mabus Group since March 2017, Tom specializes in helping organizations adapt to disruptions while enhancing their competitive edge. In addition to this role, Tom serves on the Board of Advisors for Avenue Capital Group’s Impact Fund and Arctaris Impact Investors' Opportunity Zone Fund, both focused on socially responsible investments. Tom's advisory experience includes working with Skyways Air Transportation Inc. and H4E, alongside previous roles as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company and various positions within the US Navy, including Deputy Under Secretary. A leader in energy and environmental initiatives, Tom has also held significant roles at the U.S. Green Building Council and the US Environmental Protection Agency, contributing to projects that drive energy efficiency and sustainability. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has pursued additional studies in Engineering Management at The George Washington University.
