Adnan Chaudhry

Adnan Chaudhry is Executive Vice President, Sales and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Slack. Adnan leads the go to market and post merger integration of the Slack business unit which was acquired by Salesforce for $27.7 bil in 2021. Before Slack, Adnan led the US Gen Commercial business unit focusing on strategic accounts in the US. He has also held sales leadership roles within the Financial Services vertical at Salesforce.

Prior to returning to Salesforce, Adnan was Group Vice President, Global Sales at Oracle where he led the global sales organization for the Utilities and Energy vertical. Adnan joined Oracle in May 2016 through its acquisition of Opower (NYSE:OPWR), which is the leader in cloud based energy information software and services to the utility sector. While at Opower, he was Senior Vice President, Sales and part of the executive team taking the company from approx. $25 mil to $155 mil in revenue over four years, and through its April 2014 IPO and subsequent acquisition by Oracle.

Previously, Adnan was an associate at private-equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, focusing on managing the firm’s consumer and media investment portfolio. He later served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning at Swift & Company, a portfolio company of Hicks Muse. Adnan began his career as an investment-banking analyst at Salomon Smith Barney in New York.

Adnan graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Finance and a BA in Economics and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
