Alan Hardin

Alan Hardin is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in managing technical teams in the software industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Slack since June 2019, Alan oversees four teams comprising 30 engineers across various functional areas, including mobile, backend, frontend, and full-stack product teams. Prior to this role, Alan was a Senior Engineering Manager at Splunk, where management responsibilities included overseeing two teams focused on Splunk IT Service Intelligence. Alan's professional journey began at Paulsson Geophysical Services, Inc., and included significant positions at Borland, serving as Technical Architect for the StarTeam Agile product. Alan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Fullerton.
