Chris Xu

Chris Xu is a seasoned product management professional specializing in accessibility, currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Slack since January 2022. Prior experience includes leading an accessibility team at Quip from November 2019 to January 2022, where notable contributions involved launching impactful features like dark mode and alt text support, and conducting accessibility reviews. Chris has also worked as a freelance researcher at Vernacular Systems, taught Interaction Design at the School of Visual Arts, and held various significant roles in organizations such as the Awesome Foundation and Breadpig, Inc. Additional accomplishments include co-founding the ROFLCon internet culture conference and serving as Outreach Coordinator at the MIT Media Lab. Chris Xu holds an AB in History of Science from Harvard University.
