Colin Coppersmith

Colin Coppersmith is a Senior Software Engineer and Manager in Software Engineering at Slack since January 2022. Prior to joining Slack, Colin held various positions at General Motors from June 2018 to January 2022, including Lead Software Developer for the One View of the Customer platform, where Java data pipeline modules were developed using technologies such as Akka, Pulsar, Kafka, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL. Colin also contributed to the AXION application and the Enterprise Company Vehicle Management System (eCVMS) as a web application developer. Earlier experience includes a Mobile Technologies Intern role at Jackson and serving as a Physics I Supplemental Instruction Leader at Oakland University. Colin earned a Master of Science in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University, with prior studies at Oakland University.
