Edward Ji

Edward Ji is a Staff Software Engineer at Slack since February 2022, previously serving as a Senior Software Engineer, where responsibilities included leading the Quip Services team focusing on Login/Auth, API Framework, Users, and Provisioning. Edward played a key role as a founding engineer for Canvas, developing authentication, provisioning, and search components while containerizing Quip for deployment in Slack’s FedRamp medium Kubernetes environment. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer position at Quip from April 2020 to February 2022, contributing to various technical aspects post-acquisition by Slack. Earlier roles encompass software engineering positions at Quora, Workday, and ServiceNow, alongside tutoring in computer science at the University of California, San Diego, where Edward supported advanced students in data structures and object-oriented programming. Edward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego.
