Fred Hui

Fred Hui is a seasoned engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Slack since July 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing two groups focused on Activation and Monetization and managing 60+ engineers across various platforms. Prior roles include Senior Engineering Manager at Slack, where Fred managed teams responsible for enhancing user acquisition features, and Software Development Manager positions at Amazon in both Advertising and Fulfillment Technologies. Previous experience includes a tenure as Software Development Manager at AMD, focusing on display driver development, and an IT Specialist role at IBM Global Business Services. Fred's professional journey began with an internship at ATI (now AMD) while pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, graduating with Honours and making the Dean's List.
