Joseph Selim

Joseph Selim is an accomplished data engineering and analytics professional with extensive experience in leading data teams and building analytics capabilities. Currently serving as Director of Data Engineering at Slack since January 2016, Joseph leads the Data Modeling and Architecture group, focusing on core data models and metrics. Previously, in various roles at Facebook from October 2010 to January 2016, Joseph established the data function for the London office and spearheaded analytics for the search team. Joseph's earlier experience includes overseeing enterprise data warehousing and corporate reporting at Corporate Executive Board, where responsibilities involved strategic data mining. Joseph holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
