Kenny Hopper

Kenny Hopper is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in design systems, spanning multiple companies and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Design Systems at Slack since November 2025, Kenny previously held the position of Head of Design Systems at Nextdoor and was a Senior Manager of Design Systems at Coinbase. With a background that includes directing product design and user experience at Upwork, Kenny also contributed to the design leadership community through participation in the Design Leadership Forum at InVision. Early career roles include Principal Visual Design Manager at Elance-oDesk and Senior Interactive Art Director at McKinsey & Company (LUNAR Design), demonstrating a strong foundation in both branding and interactive design. Kenny holds a BFA in Industrial and Product Design from California College of the Arts and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.
