Samuel Messing

Samuel Messing is currently the VP of Engineering, Search and AI at Slack, where they focus on integrating privacy-first intelligence into applications. With a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University, Samuel combines technical expertise with a thoughtful approach to engineering. They previously spent over six years at Google, building advanced machine learning systems and collaborating across departments to drive innovative projects. Samuel also held roles at Fusemachines and Slack before their current position, demonstrating a consistent trajectory of leadership in technology.
