Felipe Alvarez

Felipe Alvarez is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering and consulting, currently serving as a Senior Principal Consultant (AWS) at Slalom since July 2025. Prior to this role, Alvarez held the position of Principal Consultant (AWS) at Mantel Group from August 2022 to July 2025 and was a Principal Engineer at Versent from January 2018 to August 2022, where responsibilities included leading teams in building resilient AWS Cloud platforms and designing highly available cloud architectures. Alvarez’s earlier experience includes roles as a Cloud Engineer at Itoc Australia and a Linux System Administrator at Fresh Computer Systems, along with various educational roles at Queensland University of Technology and the University of Queensland. Alvarez holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Security from QUT and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Anthropology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
