Jillian Powers

Jillian Powers, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of AI ethics and sociology. Currently serving as Senior Director of AI Strategy at Slalom and as Affiliated Faculty at Elisava School of Design and Engineering, Jillian previously worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Responsible AI, and held the position of Global Head of Responsible AI at Cognizant, where responsibilities included developing ethical AI frameworks and cross-functional governance structures. Prior experience includes roles as Responsible AI Ethics Leader at Idea Couture Inc. and Senior Resident Ethnographer, focusing on qualitative research methods and strategic guidance. Jillian's early career included consultancy at ReD Associates and academic positions at Brandeis University and Washington University in St. Louis, blending research in cultural sociology and identity studies.
