Terry Wu

Terry Wu is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in computer vision and machine/deep learning. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Valeo since June 2023, Terry designs and optimizes algorithms for autonomous driving and parking systems. Previous roles include Staff Computer Vision Engineer positions at mmhmm and Walmart Global Tech, where advanced algorithms were developed for video conferencing platforms and intelligent in-store analysis, respectively. Earlier experience includes contributions to intelligent vehicle control at Valeo and vision-based ADAS at Ford Motor Company. Terry's career began at ZTE Corporation as a Principal Research Engineer, leading projects in computer vision for various applications, and includes early work as an Algorithm Engineer at SHS, focusing on image processing for resource-constrained systems. Terry is pursuing a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the University of Galway.
