Alan E. Nelson

Alan E. Nelson has extensive experience in technology and materials development within the chemical and energy sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at SLB and Senior Vice President of Battery Materials at Redwood Materials, Nelson has previously held significant roles including Chief Technology Officer at ADNOC Group and Chief Executive for New Business Development at Johnson Matthey. At Johnson Matthey, Nelson also served as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, Nelson was an R&D Director at The Dow Chemical Company, overseeing various divisions including Electronic Materials and Lithium-ion Battery Materials. Alan E. Nelson earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a BSChE from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
