Bassem Ibrahim

Bassem Ibrahim, Ph.D., is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in exploration and reservoir characterization within the oil and gas industry. Since May 2025, Bassem has served as Principal Geophysicist at SLB, leading seismic interpretation projects that integrate geophysical and geological data. Previous roles include Senior Geophysicist at Wintershall Dea, where Bassem collaborated with multidisciplinary teams on the Norwegian continental shelf, and Senior Exploration Geophysicist at OMV and RWE Dea Suez GmbH, where Bassem contributed to significant geophysical evaluations and reservoir simulations. Bassem's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Geophysics focused on reservoir characterization from Ain Shams University, as well as an MBA with a specialization in Oil and Gas management from Edinburgh Business School. Additional qualifications include a Master's degree in Petroleum geology from Al-Azhar University.
