Debashis Gupta is currently serving as Venture Principal at Schlumberger New Energy since October 2021. Prior to this role, Debashis held the position of Regional Business Head for the Middle East and Asia at Agora, an IoT start-up fully funded by Schlumberger, from November 2018 to October 2021. Debashis has extensive experience with Schlumberger, having worked in various capacities including Commercial Head for the Eastern Hemisphere and Marketing & Technology Director for South Asia from March 2012 to October 2018, and earlier roles in marketing strategy and financial management. Debashis holds a B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and an advanced degree from London Business School. Interests include deep learning, mathematical modeling, robotics, and edge processing.
