Fred Snyder

Fred Snyder is a retired Principal Geophysicist formerly with Schlumberger PTS, currently engaged in seismic interpretation consulting. They spent most of their career mapping and evaluating oil and gas basins worldwide, with a particular passion for salt tectonics and its implications for seismic imaging. In their last role at Schlumberger PTS, Fred led a team focused on prospect development and sub-salt imaging challenges in the deep water Gulf of Mexico. They hold a bachelor's degree in Geology and Geophysics from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in Geology from the University of Houston, both with a 4.0 GPA.
