Luis Castaneda is a seasoned Well Placement Engineer at SLB since January 2022, focusing on the development of Well Placement Services across the Gulf of Mexico, US Land, Alaska, and Canada, along with conducting technical and feasibility analyses for well placement projects. Prior to this role, Luis served as the Well Placement Technical Team Leader at Schlumberger from December 2005 to August 2020, where responsibilities included driving business development for LWD and geosteering in the Gulf of Mexico and East Venezuela as well as conducting project feasibility analyses. Luis began the career as a Lead MWD/LWD Field Engineer, managing field operations for major projects with the National Oil Company PEMEX. Luis holds a degree in Ingeniero Mecanico, Termoenergia from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, obtained in 2005.
