Manan Gupta

Manan Gupta is a Cloud Software Engineer at SLB since July 2022, where foundational microservices for access-control and authentication have been developed using Go and PostgreSQL, along with enhancements in security through a GoLang-based OAuth2. Previously, as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Penn State University, significant improvements were made to a text-messaging response system aimed at reducing maternal and neonatal deaths in Kenya by utilizing XLM-ROBERTa-large multilingual models, achieving up to a 40% improvement in precision. Manan also served as a Research Intern at UC San Diego, training machine learning models on datasets like CIFAR10 and COVIDx, and modifying NAS algorithms to enhance accuracy. Additional experience includes a Software Development Internship at QUICHUB Innovations, leading the development of a Go gRPC backend for an eCommerce mobile app, and serving as a Learning Assistant for Python programming at Penn State University. Manan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Penn State University and graduated from Delhi Public School (East), Bangalore.
