Masoud Aghajani

Masoud Aghajani is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of engineering and technology management, currently serving as the Critical Minerals-Lithium Domain Champion at SLB since April 2023. Prior roles include Technical Consultant for Brine Purification at Travertine and Technology Portfolio Manager at Magna Imperio Systems Corp. From January 2021 to December 2022, Aghajani was the R&D Manager and previously an R&D Engineer at WaterSurplus. Aghajani's academic background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where research involved polymer modifications and crystallization processes, as well as a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Notable earlier roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, along with Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at New Mexico State University, where Aghajani contributed to membrane separation technologies and RO desalination optimization.
