Mike Zhao

Mike Zhao is an Application Lead at SLB, where they have excelled in leading hybrid teams of Oracle and SQL Server DBAs while focusing on service and problem-solving. With a strong background in data architecture, Mike has pioneered initiatives in cloud platforms, including the successful establishment of a SQL Server data pond and the adoption of Apache Hadoop for big data solutions. Previously, Mike held various positions in IT, including roles at Dynegy and EDS, and has consistently earned recognition for their effective leadership and ability to build high-performing teams. Currently, Mike is pursuing a PhD in Biology at the University of Iowa while also holding degrees in Biophysics and Medical Physics from Nankai University.
