Omar Navarro

Omar Navarro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the steel industry and business development. Currently serving as the Global Director of the Steel Industry in the New Energy Division at SLB since December 2022, Omar is tasked with establishing a new business unit focused on decarbonization efforts in the steel sector. Prior to this role, Omar held various leadership positions, including Director of International Business Development at Opta Group LLC, where responsibilities included market entry strategies and product portfolio diversification. At TMK IPSCO, Omar served as General Manager and Vice President of Quality, enhancing operational and commercial efficiency, while previously at Republic Steel, Omar led quality and process technology initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations. Early career roles included Sales Manager for Automotive Markets at Grupo Simec, where Omar developed successful sales strategies, and Manager of Operations in Process Engineering, focusing on operational excellence. Omar holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Columbia Business School and the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
