Preston Wolfram

Preston Wolfram is the VP of Engineering at Smith Bits, A Schlumberger Company, where they oversee the research and development of new drilling cutting technologies. Previously, they served as the Drilling Product Engineering Manager, continually enhancing a diverse drill bit portfolio. Preston co-taught a course in the McBride Honors Program at the Colorado School of Mines after earning a Master of Science in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, where their thesis focused on wear-resistant steel microstructures. Additionally, they have experience as a visiting researcher at Deakin University and as a research fellow at NIST, contributing to significant advancements in materials engineering.
