Rob Boettcher is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Schlumberger since March 2013, providing engineering support for wireline tractor conveyance and mechanical intervention services, with a shift in focus to mechanical sidewall coring tools in May 2016. Previously, Rob served as a Wireline Field Engineer in Schlumberger’s Tech and Field Development Program, which prepared for future technical and management roles. Prior experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer at the University of Maryland's CALCE, conducting research on electromechanical relay failure, as well as positions at Schlumberger, Baltimore Gas & Electric, and the Bureau of Reclamation. Rob holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2012 and 2011, respectively.
