Simon Tong

Simon Tong is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in IT security management and governance. Currently serving as a UK & Ireland CISO Community Governing Body Member at Evanta, a Gartner Company, since January 2019, Simon facilitates networking and knowledge-sharing among top CISO executives. At SLB, where Simon has worked since 1993, roles have included Cyber Security Governance Manager and Global IT Security Manager, focusing on IT security strategy and risk mitigation. Previous positions at SLB encompassed IT Infrastructure Architecture Manager and Network Architect, demonstrating Simon's depth in IT services and infrastructure. Simon also served as Chairman and Director at the Oil and Natural Gas Information Sharing and Analysis Center from 2014 to 2018. Early career experiences include engineering roles at Seismograph Service Ltd and Racal Defense Electronics Ltd. Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
