SLCA, standing for Student-Led Chess Association, is an 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to using the game of chess to create a difference in communities globally.  Through local tournaments, fundraisers, and campaigns, SLCA North America raises funds for various charitable organizations and causes across the United States and Canada.  Through our 200+ branches across North America, SLCA is also dedicated to promoting chess education to underdeveloped communities, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills in young learners.
